Warranty and Guarantee Information
This information notice has been prepared in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/771 of the European Parliament and of the Council on certain aspects concerning contracts for the sale of goods. Its purpose is to provide you with a comprehensive and clear overview of your rights regarding the conformity of goods (warranty) and, where applicable, commercial guarantees.
Your rights as a consumer are guaranteed by European Union consumer protection directives — in particular Directive (EU) 2019/771 — and the implementing legislation of the EU Member State where you reside. These rights represent a minimum level of protection from which no derogation to your detriment is permitted.
1. Legal Guarantee of Conformity
When can you exercise your right to a legal guarantee?
If the goods you purchased do not conform to the contract of sale at the time of delivery, you are entitled to a remedy from the seller. Goods are considered non-conforming if they do not meet the quality, description, or functionality requirements set out in the contract or by law.
What rights do you have under the legal guarantee?
You may — at your choice — request the following remedies:
You may request repair or replacement of the goods, unless the remedy chosen is impossible or would impose disproportionate costs on the seller compared to the other remedy.
If repair or replacement is not possible, or is not carried out within a reasonable time, you may request a proportionate reduction in price or — as a last resort — terminate the contract (i.e. obtain a full refund).
What are the time limits for exercising your rights?
Under EU law (Directive 2019/771), you may exercise your rights within 2 years from delivery of the goods. The legislation of your country may provide for a longer period.
What is the reversed burden of proof?
During the first 12 months after delivery (under EU Directive 2019/771), any lack of conformity which becomes apparent is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery — the seller must prove otherwise.
After this period, the burden of proof shifts to you as the consumer.
2. Product Liability
When can you exercise product liability rights?
In the case of a defective product, you may — at your choice — pursue a claim under the legal guarantee of conformity (against the seller) or a product liability claim (against the manufacturer or distributor).
What rights does product liability provide?
Under a product liability claim, you may request repair or replacement of the defective product.
What are the conditions?
You must prove that the product is defective. The manufacturer or distributor is released from liability only if they can prove that: the product was not placed on the market in the course of business; the defect could not have been detected given the state of science and technology at the time; or the defect resulted from compliance with mandatory regulations.
Please note: you may not pursue a legal guarantee claim and a product liability claim simultaneously for the same defect.
3. How to Submit a Warranty or Guarantee Claim
If you wish to submit a warranty or guarantee claim regarding a purchased product, please proceed as follows:
- Contact us via our contact form or customer service.
- Provide your order number, the product name, and a detailed description of the defect.
- Attach photographs of the defect — this helps us process your claim more quickly.
- Keep your proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation).
After receiving your claim, our team will examine the matter and inform you of the next steps. In the case of a justified warranty or guarantee claim, the cost of returning the defective product shall be borne by the seller.
4. Information for Consumers Purchasing from Other EU Member States
Our online store offers products throughout the entire European Union. In every EU Member State, consumers are entitled to a minimum 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under Directive (EU) 2019/771. During the first 12 months, the burden of proof lies with the seller.
The consumer protection laws of your Member State of residence may provide additional or different rights beyond the minimum level set by Directive (EU) 2019/771. The applicable law is determined according to Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I), provided that you always enjoy the protection of the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of habitual residence.
In the case of cross-border consumer disputes, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) provides free advice and mediation: ECC-Net (the European Commission's former ODR platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025).
