The Wiesenfield frame with foundation allows for optimal honey harvest. Plastic bee foundations are durable, as the cleaned foundation can be reused several times. The easy-to-use foundation has a casing that can be easily hung in the frame. To prepare the foundation, thoroughly wax the pre-formed combs. Each cell measures 5.4 mm and is ideal for storing honey. Melted wax is used for this purpose. After centrifuging, the old wax must be removed and discarded. This creates an open waxing cycle, ensuring optimal hygienic conditions in the hive. Plastic honeycombs are extremely easy to maintain. They can be rinsed with a pressure washer or washed with hot water at a temperature below 65°C and disinfected in a lye bath at a temperature of 50°C. When using only a few plastic honeycomb frames, use a chisel or spatula to remove the wax. To ensure that the plastic foundation does not warp, simply pour water at a temperature below 65°C over it and hang the foundation back in the frame.
