The Wiesenfield nucleus hive provides a brood nest for bee colonies that are still small. The bees can easily maintain the temperature inside, thereby keeping the brood warm. Due to the small number of combs, less hive material is needed than in a standard hive. The hive has space for five Langstroth-format frames. If the colony grows, simply transfer the bees to a suitable hive. The box is made of durable plastic (polypropylene). The material thickness 4 mm ensures excellent insulation of the interior, measuring 46.5 x 18 x 26.8 cm, against the cold and external weather conditions.
