The Wiesenfield poultry scalding machine is ideal for preparing chickens before placing them in a plucking machine. Opening the skin pores under high temperature ensures quick and efficient feather removal later on. The equipment is also suitable for ducks, geese, pheasants, and turkeys. The machine can scald 3–5 chickens at a time. Inside the scalding machine is a removable steel basket measuring 290 x 290 x 510 mm. The machine has a capacity of 70 L. The housing is made ofstainless steel. A drain valve makes cleaning easier. Simple operation thanks to a temperature control knob and a separate on/off switch. A sensitive thermostat controls the heating element. It is recommended to blanch: chickens at 60–65°C for 70–90 seconds, ducks at 63–66°C for 160–180 seconds, geese at 70–72°C for 120–130 seconds, pheasants at 63–67°C for 70–90 seconds, and turkeys at 51–54°C for 80–95 seconds.
