The Steinberg Systems vacuum filtration kit is ideal for removing even the smallest particles from a solution in the laboratory using a vacuum and a suitable filter cartridge (not included). It is suitable for microbiology or particle analysis, as well as for filtering alkaline and aggressive solutions. The base of the laboratory filter consists of a suction tube with a hose connection featuring an inner diameter of 6 mm and an outer diameter of 11 mm. The vessel is made of heat-resistant Pyrex Boro 3.3 glass and has a capacity of 2000 ml, allowing even large samples to be easily filtered. An aluminum clamp holds the 300 ml funnel cap and the funnel base together. Both components are connected via a 40/38 connection above the suction tube. Both containers are equipped with a clear scale, making it easy to check the volume of filtered liquids at any time. The suction tube’s low center of gravity ensures optimal stability of the filtration set. The funnel cap is designed for filters with a diameter of 50 to 60 mm, allowing for optimal results. The individual components are characterized by high-quality workmanship and are easy to assemble. They form the basis for obtaining accurate and reproducible results free of DNA, RNA, and pyrogens, as required, for example, in microbiology.
